Abilene, Texas – WOW! WHAT A GAME! Gunter marches down the field and STUNS Canadian to advance to the Jerry’s World …. This is was the second best Game the two have played against each other the other happening a couple years agon ion Lion Stadium where Gunter stops a diving Canadian Wildcat at the 1 yard on 4th down to end the game.
Canadian came out and made a statement in the first two quarters limiting this high powered Tiger offense and if that wasn’t enough both team had to deal with the heavy fog that stayed most of the game which made it difficult on both squad catching balls. Canadian simply made more plays on defense they had almost every answer everytime the Tigers ran the ball to either side.
Gunter struggled for most of the game until late in the fourth quarter where they were able to put solid drives and ultimately put together the ” The Drive” that would solidify this season for them, as Gunters QB1 Everman put together what might be the most important drive to date to lead these tigers to advance to the state title.
Canadian saw their season come to an abrupt end when they were not able to make one last final stop in the last 2 minutes and only had less than 20 seconds to score but all this could have been prevented if the extra point was not bobbled witch ended up being the thing that potentially cost the Wildcats their season.
